The arrival of bombshell Danielle Sellers has caused tension between Curtis Pritchard and Ekin-Su in the Love Island villa, but Curtis’s ex Amy Hart has rushed to defend him. Curtis and Ekin-Su have been coupled up on Love Island All Stars for almost two weeks, but their growing relationship hit a major bump in the road on Wednesday with the arrival of Danielle. She was asked to choose someone to join her in the Hideaway for an overnight stay and she picked Curtis, which didn’t sit well with Ekin-Su.
To make matters worse, Elma Pazar , 32, who was also on a date in the Hideaway with other new bombshell Sammy Root, spoke to Ekin-Su about the evening upon her return. She said that Curtis "touched" Danielle's hand at one point whilst in bed together, though she wasn't sure of the context. Ekin-Su later confronted both Danielle and Curtis, with him saying that "nothing" happened. Curtis later told Ekin-Su that he would be open to "talk" to Danielle if she pulled him for a chat, though assured that he had told her he was "closed off". However, Ekin-Su was later in tears when she saw Danielle and Curtis chatting.
Some viewers thought Ekin-Su was right to be upset, with one writing: “At the start I thought ekin was doing too much so i hate so say it but she was right… Curtis CANNOT be trusted,” but Curtis’s former girlfriend Amy Hart has spoken out to defend him. Appearing on Love Island: The Morning After podcast, Amy said she thinks Curtis is “a nice guy who doesn’t want to upset people.”. She said: “I don’t know why I am defending him but what I will say about Ekin asking him outright ‘do you think we are moving too fast?’ and he said no, I think he is just a nice guy who doesn’t want to upset people, he doesn’t like confrontation. I think he may be worrying that he has been too nice to everyone.”.
Amy previously gave her honest opinion on Curtis entering the Love Island All Stars villa by rating all the entrants via her Instagram. Amy told fans: “One line about each member of the Love Island All Stars cast, let’s go,” before pointing to each cast member and giving her verdict. When it came to Curtis she said: “Curtis - I like his new hair and I know he’ll be a great support to everyone in the villa.”.
Amy and Curtis were one of the most famous couples on Love Island nearly six years ago, with Curtis, now 28, coupled-up with Amy for much of his time on the ITV2 show in 2019. However, they parted ways weeks into their romance after Casa Amor, where he had shown interest in new islander Jourdan Riane, now 29. Like this story?
