Summary at a Glance

At Wood Green Crown Court last Friday Lynck, of Morning Lane, Hackney, received seven years and five months imprisonment having pleaded guilty to robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.

Leon Lynck, 43, attacked 67-year-old David Munday from behind in broad daylight on Ingestre Road, Tufnell Park.

This proved crucial as DNA obtained from Mr Munday’s jacket identified Lynck as the suspect.

Temporary Detective Constable Taylor Humpheys said: “The investigation which led to this conviction was a team effort by local officers, detectives and other specialists.

Thankfully, the injuries proved superficial, although Mr Munday suffered a fractured shoulder.
