Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) was incredibly worried about Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) in tonight’s EastEnders, as she learnt of his plans to sell his shares in the Boxing Den. Before 2024 ended, Sharon visited Phil’s house and was shocked at the state it was in. Rubbish piled high in the kitchen and he had even taken down his family photographs. Phil argued that he didn’t need a reminder of all the family members he’s lost, which left Sharon concerned.

Phil has found a pleasant distraction in recent weeks thanks to the return of old mate Nigel (Paul Bradley). Despite enjoying Nigel’s company, Phil’s problems haven’t gone away. Yesterday, Phil arrived in the café and announced to a very surprised Jay (Jamie Borthwick), Billy (Perry Fenwick) and Nigel that he was beginning the process to sell his shares in the Boxing Den to his mate.

Phil essentially didn’t give Nigel any choice but to have the shares. Later in the day, Nigel found Sharon outside and updated her, and she wasn’t impressed. In the pub, Sharon tried to push Phil for some answers but he wasn’t in the mood to talk. As he stood up to leave, he told Sharon that he’s ‘done’ and ‘tired’ – another worrying sign.
