Countless familiar faces graced the red carpet on the first day of Paris Haute Couture Week, shimmering under the glare of thousands of cameras eager to capture every detail of their stunning outfits. Among the many household names and shows, Dior stood out as one of the most anticipated highlights of the week.
Held at the famous Rodin Gardens, Dior’s presentation reinforced its reputation as a cornerstone of haute couture, attracting A-list celebrities from across the globe to the French capital to witness its latest collection from the front rows. Dior unveiled its highly anticipated Spring/Summer 2025 collection, a show made unique by visionary creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri. This season, Maria brought to life her modern interpretation of the "Dior Woman" - expressing femininity, infused with boldness and strength.
For this collection, Maria collaborated with Mumbai-based artist, Rithika Merchant, to create an immersive showcase centred around the theme of womanhood across generations. Together, they celebrated the resilience, beauty, and power of women through both clothing and stage presence.
The designs themselves conveyed a blend of historical inspiration and modern aesthetics, taking inspiration from Alice’s journey through Wonderland. Standout pieces included a white lace pinafore dress paired with a striking black silk mohawk headdress, structured leather boots, and avant-garde birdcage skirts. Each design showcased romance and empowerment.
Unsurprisingly, the show dominated social media, with fans discussing everything from the A-list celebrity attendees to the standout designs. This collection served as yet another example of how Dior continues to shape global fashion trends and maintain its position as a cultural and very powerful household brand.
