Doctor reveals why you should never eat 'clean' part of mouldy bread After a long grocery haul and enduring the seemingly endless queues - it's unlikely anything would drag you back to the supermarket before the week is out.
However, Dr Karan Raj has issued a stark warning on his TikTok account, stating that "there is no such thing as the clean part of mouldy bread".
This implies that simply discarding one mouldy slice won't render the rest of the loaf safe for consumption, reports the Express.
"It is almost impossible to tell whether a mould is harmless or not simply by looking at it, because some of them can produce pretty naughty mycotoxins that can be lethal," he remarked.
Even discovering a mouldy slice in your fresh loaf of bread might not be enough to prompt a return trip.
