Donald Trump's 'irritation' and Melania's 'menace' after 'roasting' by bishop

Donald Trump has promised that his controversial presidency will herald the dawn of a new era - but it is an era that has struck fear into the hearts of many. At yesterday's inauguration, the former reality TV star did not hold back when it came to his stance on immigration and also condemned 'gender ideology', declaring, 'it is the policy of the United States to recognise two sexes, male and female.' Now, in a jaw-dropping speech addressed directly to an astonished Trump and his cronies, Bishop Mariann Budde said some LGBTQ+ Americans have been left living in fear because of his zero-tolerance approach.
She said the world order "as we know it is now over" - and that people "face a world of hard competition". She continued: "As you told the nation yesterday, you have felt the providential hand of a loving God. In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now,” Budde said in her sermon. “There are gay, lesbian and transgender children in both Democratic, Republican and independent families who fear for their lives.”.
Analysing the stunned reactions of Trump and his number two, JD Vance, body language expert Judi James says: "Trump's first roasting came early and from the unexpected source of a pulpit. As the bishop begged for mercy for immigrants, transgender and gay children etc there was a bristling among Trump's group as a whole.".
