Dragons' Den viewers awkwardly watched Touker Suleyman give a "rotten deal" that left his fellow forced to investors interject. The BBC investment show returned on Thursday night for another episode as entrepreneurs entered the den in the hopes of securing a deal for their companies. Lucie Macleod, 24, from Wales went in hoping to bag a £190,000 investment in return for a 3% equity stake from either Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker, Sara Davies, Steven Bartlett or Trinny Woodall.

She showed off her business, Hair Syrup, which focuses on natural hair products and scalp oils. Lucie revealed she started her business by accident while at university and her products went viral on TikTok. The businesswoman explained she is projected to turnout a staggering £6.5million this year due to its rapidly growing popularity. Last year Hair Syrup turned over an incredible £4.5million with a post tax net profit of £1.4million. Lucie explained that despite her success, she wanted an experienced investor to help her. Deborah, Sarah and Trinny decided to opt out of the partnership.

Touker expressed interest as Lucie explained how much she wanted a Dragon to grow with her and ensure she doesn't make any mistakes. He told her: "I think what you need is a mentor not to make mistakes and probably you need to have a retail strategy. I will give you all of the money, £190,000 for the 3%, as long as I get my money back in three months and keep the 3%.". His co-stars appeared visibly stunned by the offer, yet Lucie replied: "Okay. I can do that." However, they were interrupted as Stephen shouted out: "What?!" Deborah told Lucie: "You're basically giving away those shares. I just need you to be really clear and understand." The Dragons told Lucie to really think about the offer and step away for a moment.

Upon her return, Lucie said: "So I think I do need a Dragon, and I see no issue with the repayment of the money. Because I think that where you'd be able to get with me would be worth that." However, as she accepted Touker's deal she could see the other Dragon's pull faces. She asked: "Why is everyone making that face?" Deborah told her: "You understand that you're basically giving him 3% of your company." Touker insisted he didn't want Lucie to feel tricked and said if she wasn't comfortable with the idea then she shouldn't take it. After a pause, Touker realised Lucie was uncomfortable with the idea and so he pulled his offer, a decision which was met with relief by the other Dragons.

Viewers at home were equally uncomfortable as one said: "What a rotten deal lol basically just taking 3% for nothing #dragonsden." Another added: "What have I just watched." Someone else commented: "That was horrifically uncomfortable viewing.". Like this story?
