EastEnders killer Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) is struggling to hold it together, especially as Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) does some digging. Convinced that Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) couldn’t have killed Debbie, Sonia edges closer to the truth and Reiss is sweating at the prospect of being caught. But will he end up turning on the woman he loves?. In other deadly developments, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) is also investigating a culprit as she appears to make new headway in the mystery of who attacked her.
And soon, motives behind a plan become clear. Elsewhere, an ambulance rushes to Walford to take Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to hospital as he lurches into a dangerous crisis…. Cindy awaits news from the police about the new evidence in her case and they then clash over her accusations. Cindy tries to make peace at home by staging a truce dinner, but things go sour when her true motivations are revealed.
Later, Cindy realises her locket has gone and reasons that the person who attacked her must have taken it after hitting her. When Norma arrives at The Vic, she’s brought her friend Livi with her. Nigel asks reluctant Phil to join them, but things quickly turn sour when Livi spots Phil’s low mood.
Phil rushes off, and Nigel is going to go after him, but he decides to have dinner with Norma instead. Over at The Arches, Phil’s actions put him in serious danger…. Lauren goes to see Sonia to voice her concerns about Bianca’s ‘confession’, saying she knows Sonia also doubts that Bianca killed Debbie. Elsewhere, the relationship between Ravi and Nugget takes another knock and Priya become suspicious after witnessing a ‘business’ chat between Ravi and Nicola.
Ruby is upset when Martin wants to share an exciting life development with Stacey. Harry arrives for work at The Arches and finds Phil in a dire predicament. Meanwhile, Patrick and Yolande are delighted to hear that Nigel’s date went well. Nigel heads off to check on Phil and is horrified to see him being loaded into an ambulance. Denise’s fears about Ravi’s business practices are exacerbated when she walks in on him on the phone discussing a shady deal. To make matters worse, Ravi rebuffs Denise when she asks him to help with a fuse box at the salon.
Fortunately, Jack later arrives to save the day, and Kim wonders if he’s a better option than Ravi. Priya confronts Ravi about his dealing, urging him to walk a straight path for the sake of the kids. The battle lines are drawn at the Beales, and Junior offers Cindy a lifeline. Across the Square, Sonia admits to Lauren that she thinks Bianca only confessed to save her. She begs Jack to get her a copy of Bianca’s confession but asks him not to tell Reiss she’s going to watch it.
The Panesars gather for Nish’s will reading and are incredulous to discover Bernie has been asked to attend, too. The contents of Nish’s final wishes shock everyone. Ravi visits Denise where he makes a grand gesture and things get passionate. Later, when Bernie mistakenly believes a burglar has broken into No.20, Ravi and Denise’s secret relationship is exposed. Sonia feigns excitement when Reiss shows her his plans to turn the middle room into a playroom for the baby. Sonia collects the footage of Bianca’s confession from Jack, and readies herself to watch it secretly, but Reiss catches her about to press ‘play’.
Meanwhile, Cindy is lambasted by her family when they hear she is staying at Junior’s. Chelsea and Jack are reeling as they take in that Ravi and Denise are secretly seeing each other. Kim and Yolande comfort Denise as she admits her heart is torn between Ravi and Jack. However, things get ugly when Ravi and Jack face off at The Vic later. Sonia insists that she’s watching Bianca’s confession, and Reiss reluctantly agrees to watch it with her. However, her reaction isn’t one he was expecting.
Later, DI Xiang arrives with news for Sonia – the police have issued a search warrant for Bianca and intend to charge her with murder.
