EPIC Games Store is bringing a slew of new features to its mobile app on Android and iOS, including third-party games. To celebrate, the mobile storefront will start offering monthly free games, just like the weekly giveaways on the PC store. The Epic Games Store on mobile now offers games from third-party developers for purchase, on top of Epic’s own Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League Sideswipe.

The mobile app also adds new features, such as login with an Epic Account and automatic updates for games installed via the store. To complement the new features, the EGS Mobile app is launching a free games programme, similar to what PC users have been enjoying for years.

At first, free games will be offered at a monthly cadence, with plans to move to a weekly schedule later this year. Epic Games Store Mobile’s first free game offered this month is Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee. The roguelike tower defense game will be up for grabs until February 20, 2025.

Bloons TD 6 has been announced as the next free game and according to Epic Games, it’s “coming soon”. It is unclear whether both games will be free at the same time soon or players will have to wait for the Dungeon of the Endless offer to end before they can grab Baloons TD 6.

Epic Games launched its mobile app just a few months ago, and it’s quickly ramping up its offering for Android and iOS devices. The storefront's main goal is to avoid Google and Apple's app stores and sell games to mobile users directly. While the app can be downloaded on Android devices worldwide, on iPhone and iPad, only users based in the EU can get it.
