Eurovision fans shocked by Malta's 'explicit' 2025 entry but it's not all as it seems Miriana Conte has been selected to represent Malta at this year's Eurovision Song Contest with a song that's attracted attention on social media over one particular lyric.
She went on to win with the song Kant (Singing), meaning that she will represent Malta in Basel in May, following Switzerland's victory at Eurovision last year.
Others have questioned if the song will remain in its current form in the semi-finals, with one person writing: "Let's not kid ourselves… we know exactly why she's using it, especially considering the word before it is in plain English.
I'm so excited and so grateful that I just won the Malta Eurovision Song Contest and I'm super super excited to meet you all in Basel.".
Following the news that she had been chosen to represent her country, Miriana said in a clip shared on Instagram: "Hello Eurovision fans!
