Foreign Office issues urgent warning to Brits heading to one country The Foreign Office has flagged important new entry requirements for Brits jetting off to the Philippine islands.
The online registration must be completed up to 72 hours ahead of touching down but is best sorted early on, as airlines might ask to see a QR code or a snapshot of the confirmation before you board.
Tourists can enjoy a visa-free stay in the country for up to 30 days, but holidaymakers should note that their passport must be valid for at least six months beyond their arrival date in the Philippines.
In advice updated on 27 November, officials stated: "You must register with the 'e-travel' system before boarding your flight to the Philippines.
Travellers may risk being turned away by some airlines without being able to show your departure ticket and eTravel registration.
