Coronation Street legends Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) and Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) fell back into each other’s arms in tonight’s episode, after several bottles of wine. Leanne has been down in the dumps ever since she found out that sister Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) was dating ex-fiancé Nick Tilsley (Ben Price).
To make matters worse, she has been forced to do community service on her own doorstep, leaving her humiliated in front of her neighbours. After offering her a listening ear, Steve invited her to spend the evening with him, and soon it was just like old times.

As Leanne lamented about her failed relationship with Nick, Steve warned her not to get him started after all the heartbreak he’s had. Leanne was quick to thank him for being such a good mate over the years, as they both reflected on the loss they’ve suffered.
