Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) faced fresh devastation in tonight’s Coronation Street as her actions pushed her further away from her family. Leanne has been at war with sister Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) and ex-fiancé Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) ever since she learnt about their affair and subsequent secret relationship.

In a bid to get her own back, she tried to frame Toyah for fraud, but was caught out and forced to face the consequences of her actions. In tonight’s episode, she began her community service, and was humiliated to learn that she would be doing it on home turf, around everyone she knows.

However, that did give her the opportunity to head straight to the bistro when she was done, where she took pleasure in making life as difficult as possible for Toyah. In no time at all, she was joined by Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), and conversation soon turned to Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), and how he seemed to have taken Nick’s side in the family feud, despite the fact that he was the adulterer.
