A forme Premier League winner has shared his experience of learning a new sport. Former Leicester star Danny Simpson faced YouTuber Danny Aarons in Ireland in August, with the bout ending in a split draw. Simpson was part of the Leicester side that remarkably defied the odds to win the Premier League title in the 2015-16 season.

The defender started his career at Manchester United and also had spells at Newcastle and QPR. Commenting on his fight against Aarons, Simpson told Four Four Two: 'Standing behind the boards waiting to come out, I felt something I'd never felt before.

'I knew everyone would be booing me because the other Danny was the favourite. In a weird way, that helped. I've been an underdog my whole life – at Leicester, trying to make it at Manchester United – so it was a feeling I relished.'. Both fighters put prized possessions on the line ahead of the fight. Aarons was prepared to give up his plaque for one million YouTube subscribers. Simpson, meanwhile, was ready to give up his Premier League winners' medal.
