American soap General Hospital has issued a warning regarding an upcoming storyline amid the devastating fires in LA. As of this morning, at least five people have been killed in the California wildfires as Los Angeles continue to struggle with the most destructive fire in the city’s history.
There are now six fires raging throughout LA and its neighbouring county Ventura, which firefighters say show no signs of being contained. The latest blaze, named Sunset Fire by the Los Angeles Fire Department, is currently tearing through Hollywood Hills and has prompted further evacuations from the affluent, celebrity-laden areas.
Over 100,000 people have forced to evacuate their homes – up from 30,000 yesterday – as the fires have scorched around 16,000 acres of land and destroyed at least 1,000 buildings. Furthermore, firefighters attempting to extinguish the blazes have found their hoses running dry as the city finds itself rapidly running out of water due to the extreme demand.
