This year's Grammy Award for Album of the Year was won by Beyonce. It marks her first ever album win at the awards and fans were quick to react on social media. One user wrote: "Finally, Beyonce wins Album of the Year. Beyonce didn’t forget to thank Jay Z before she went on stage to accept the award - she wouldn’t have won it if he hadn’t spoken out against the fact that she gets constantly ignored over & over again. Congrats Beyonce. Well deserved!".

Another added: "The Queen claimed her throne," while a third said: "Finally and well deserved #AlbumOfTheYear for Beyonce. #GRAMMYs". However, not everyone was impressed, with one user claiming "it should have been Billie". Another added: "Happy for Beyoncé but… this is just wrong #GRAMMYs". Before the announcement, members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department were treated to a standing ovation by those in attendance as they were welcomed to the stage to present the awards.

The fire chief said it was a "tremendous honour" to present the award before also thanking all the first responders for the LA wildfires. Prior to the 67th Grammy Awards, a leak had teased the winner of the category. Gold Derby, an authority in awards show coverage and predictions, had suggested the Album of the Year winner. They claimed the award was set to go to Billie Eilish's Hit Me Hard and Soft or Beyonce's Cowboy Carter. Both albums have received four votes each from Gold Derby's experts and editors.

The prediction meant stunned fans of Taylor Swift, who were expecting her to lift the gong for her latest latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. Her record-breaking concert film The Eras Tour was already overlooked in the Best Music Film category, despite being the highest-grossing concert film of all time. For some of the other Grammy categories, all of Gold Derby's experts and editors had unanimously agreed that Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso was destined to lift the Record of the Year award.

This year's event took place once again at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Trevor Noah was again on hand to take on the hosting duties. It marked his fifth successive hosting sting on the annual bash. The comedian is best known for hosting Comedy Central’s The Daily Show between 2015 to 2022. This year's telecast on CBS was also raising funds to support relief efforts after wildfires devastated the Grammys' hometown.
