Has the 'Omaze curse' struck again? How many of the homes won in charity prize draw have ended up back on the market - as couple gifted stunning £3m house in leafy Surrey become latest to sell up

The Omaze 'curse' seems to have struck again after the winner of a luxurious Surrey home placed the £3 million property on the market. Five months after winning the keys to her opulent bungalow at the cost of just a £10 entry ticket, Rachael Reid, 54, of Inverness, has decided to cash in.
In July, Mrs Reid and her husband Darren, 56, won the property near Farnham and have been enjoying the stunning building which boasts a 40ft heated indoor pool and a gym. But now the couple, who have been wed for almost 30 years, have decided to move back to Scotland so they can be closer to their friends and family.
She is the latest Scot to sell up after winning the life-changing draw, with Glasgow man Grant Carson having sold off his Lake District home within months of winning the prize. The picturesque bungalow now joins the ever-expanding list of Omaze-raffled properties to be put to the market by winners.
Last year, the MailOnline revealed that over half of the then-14 properties that Omaze had raffled off had been sold by their new owners. The last 12 months have seen this trend continue, with factors such as cost-of-upkeep, relocating and property tax all combining to see the lucky winners attempt to trade in the bricks and mortar for cash.
Childcare worker Rachael Reid, 54, won the £3million property and £100,000 in cash - after betting just £10. If Rachael decided to rent it out, local estate agents estimate that the property could achieve a long-term rental value between £9,000 and £10,000 per month.
