A mum-of-three has decided to cash in and sell the house she won in an Omaze prize draw - turning her into a multi-millionaire. Rachael Reid, 54, scooped the stunning six-bed bungalow near Farnham, Surrey in July. She and her family then spent a few months enjoying the property, which boasts 1.4 acres, a 40ft heated indoor pool and a gym.
But Rachael and her husband of almost 30 years, Darren, 56, have now decided to put the home up for sale. It has been listed online for just under £3million - which will be a significant return on the £10 she spent entering the Omaze competition. Rachael, a childcare worker from Inverness, said: “I still can’t believe it really happened to us - winning a multi-million-pound house in Surrey has changed our lives forever. We’ve really enjoyed spending time at the house - it’s been magical and the whole family has loved it. All the locals have been lovely and welcoming – it’s a fantastic area.
“The money I also got as part of my big win means if we wanted to, we could stay here for years and never have to worry about any costs - but we love where we live now, so we’ve decided to sell up and cash in – so we can buy an amazing house a bit closer to all our family and friends in Scotland.
"The money from the sale will change everything for the entire family - it’s just incredible - we’re all so excited for the future – we might even build our very own Omazing house!. “Entering Omaze was the best decision I ever made - I wish anyone who enters the best of luck, if it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone!”.
