Hollyoaks confirms unexpected reunion story for Lucas and Dillon

Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) makes a play to win back Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) in Hollyoaks as, despite his best efforts, he just can’t stop loving his former flame. Dillon, as viewers know, cheated on Lucas during the Channel 4 soap’s ‘missing’ year with his boyfriend’s sister Leah Barnes (Ela-May Demircan), who subsequently gave birth to his baby.

Lucas was in young offenders at the time, counting down the days until his release so that he could be reunited with his one true love, unaware of what Dillon had got up to in his absence. The truth was revealed last year, with Lucas positively devastated by the betrayal as he made it quite clear that he and Dillon will never, ever be getting back together.

Dillon was heartbroken and he’s struggled to adjust to being a dad to baby James, feeling unready for such a thing. The distance between he and Lucas thawed somewhat over the festive season and episodes this week saw the former flames put their differences side to support Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) in the wake of JJ’s trial, sharing a hug in the process.
