The eagerly awaited trailer for the new biblical epic, House of David, has just been released and it's already causing a stir among viewers. Amazon Prime Video unveiled the two-and-a-half-minute teaser on January 29 with the intriguing tagline: "You know the legend. Now experience the journey.". The preview gives fans a glimpse of the monumental clash between David (portrayed by Michael Iskander) and the towering Goliath (Martyn Ford), showing the future king gathering stones from a brook for the confrontation.

At one point, David declares: "It is not about the greatness of the giant, it is about the greatness of God," yet in a more introspective moment, he confesses his fear of facing Goliath and the Philistine army. The trailer poses the thought-provoking question: "Can one stone change the course of history? " as it opens and closes, sparking a flurry of comments from excited fans. One viewer commented: "Shepherds like David were practically snipers with their slings. David knew what he was doing when he stepped up," while another expressed: "I won't lie this genuinely looks like it does justice to the Scripture which is insanely epic! I just hope they stay true to who David was, and that he was a man of deep faith and in pursuit of God's own heart. If you miss that you simply won't nail him.".

The series is set to premiere on February 27, and anticipation is high, reports the Express. "I've been imagining this for a few years now: David's story in series form. His story is indeed an epic saga worthy of the best narratives where we see everything: love, courage, friendship, faith, devotion to God, betrayals, twists, battles, persecutions and lots of adventure," mused one enthusiast. A fourth admirer expressed their excitement: "'The Chosen', the animated 'Light of the World' and 'Young David', now 'The House of David' - biblical media is having an incredible renaissance! Christian storytellers are finally telling stories again, creating compelling, character-driven narratives, respecting the craft of film-making! ".

One viewer exclaimed: "Finally a title from the Bible! The legend will be televised! ". House of David charts the ascent of the Biblical hero David, who rises to become Israel's most revered monarch. The tale kicks off with King Saul (Ali Suliman), whose arrogance leads to his downfall, prompting God to instruct Samuel (Stephen Lang) to anoint a new monarch. Samuel selects a surprising candidate: a young outcast named David, who sets off on a quest to achieve his fate and carry out God's wishes.

The eight-episode drama boasts grand vistas and battle sequences that rival those of cinema. The cast includes not only Iskander, Ford, Suliman, and Lang but also Ayelet Zurer as Queen Ahinoam, Indy Lewis as Mychal, and features Yali Topol Margalith as Mirab, Ethan Kai as Jonathan, Oded Fehr as Abner, Louis Ferreira as Jesse, and Davood Ghadami as Eliab. Joining the cast are Sam Otto, Ashraf Barhom, Alexander Uloom and Aury Alby. House of David is treading the path set by another biblical hit, The Chosen, and is a product of the newly established faith-centric production house, The Wonder Project.
