How the Royal Family have taken style inspiration from a box of Quality Street chocolates with their fashion

THE Royal family certainly aren’t shy when it comes to wearing bold colours. It was often said that Queen Elizabeth II wore clothes in bright colours so that she could be spotted easily in large crowds. And it seems the rest of the family have followed suit.
Just last week the Princess of Wales stepped out in a red Alexander McQueen coat for her annual Christmas Carol Concert. A lot of their block colour outfits seem to resemble the colours of the wrappers found in a tin of Quality Street. But are they a gold caramel swirl or a red strawberry delight?.
They certainly have hit the sweet spot when it comes to their fashion as Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale takes a look. Kate, 42, showed us that she remains to be the best dressed member of the royal family when she stepped out for her Christmas carol concert last week.
Wearing a red Alexander McQueen coat she accessorised with an on trend bow, which she added at the collar. The punchy red shade reminds us of a flavour of Quality Street that often divides households - the Strawberry Delight. However, we’re certainly not divided on how great she looks in this outfit.
It’s not often the Duchess of Sussex is called the golden girl, but that is what she looked to be emulating when she wore this Johanna Ortiz number back in May 2023. In New York accepting the Women of Vision award, Meghan, 43, stepped away from her usually neutral wardrobe and stood out from the crowd in the gold strapless dress.
