I was shamed by Tesco Clubcard after it revealed embarrassing snack I bought 400 times

A PASTRY lover got a telling off from his wife after their Tesco Clubcard revealed he ate 400 cinnamon swirls last year. Sweet-toothed Adam Twiselton, 31, kept his habit quiet until the supermarket’s app sent a notification listing the scaffolder’s most-bought products.
The “Unpacked 2024 round-up” revealed he bought 411 of the 315-calorie cinnamon swirls — one every 21 hours — as well as 258 sugar-free Red Bulls and 219 Diet Cokes. Horrified wife Kirstie received a notification while on a hen-do and sent Adam a message reading: “Are you taking the p***?!”.
But Adam reckons his true twirls figure is even higher — as he occasionally buys an icing-topped version from another shop. Adam, of Northampton, said: “Sometimes I cheat on Tesco and go to Co-op. I’ve probably had around 500 cinnamon swirls in total, a considerable achievement!.
“I mostly eat them for energy on the way to work. It’s manual labour so I burn it off quickly and I feel like I’m a normal weight.”. Adam claims to have “sorted myself out” and ditched the treats this year. He said: “I’ve moved on to cleaner energy. I’m eating porridge.
