Proud mum Alison Hammond is a familiar face on TV, fronting huge shows like This Morning and The Great British Bake Off. But in her latest show, fans will get to meet her son Aidan, who is fast becoming a star in his own right. The 19-year-old is Alison's only child from her relationship with former fiancé Noureddine Boufaied, a taxi driver from Manchester. Though the pair split in 2014 and Noureddine went on to have three more children, they remained on good terms and he is still a part of their lives.
And in what Alison calls the best present ever, Aidan was actually born on her 30th birthday in 2005. This falls next week on February 5, meaning Aidan will turn 20. And no doubt Alison will be pulling out all the stops to celebrate her 50th in style.
Tonight will see Aidan make his TV debut alongside his famous mum in new BBC travel show Alison Hammond's Florida Unpacked. The 10-part series follows the pair's American adventures. The first episode sees the mum and son duo hit the road in a camper van to explore Florida’s oldest tourist hotspot, kayak down a river and visit a drive-in cinema. But away from TV, Aidan - who is said to have been approached by Love Island producers but turned them down - is an aspiring DJ with plans to have a music career.
On his Instagram profile - @aidanhammond555 - he describes himself as a DJ and in his pinned posts he is pictured with DJing legend Fat Tony. In a sweet post, he wrote: "Thank you so much for such a amazing day @fattonysfullfat and thank you @dj_fattony_ for giving me a chance and letting me warm everything up. Hopefully be seeing you guys again in a few weeks (And thanks mum for all the videos @alisonhammond55).".
