Emmerdale aired a harrowing twist tonight as April Windsor was revealed to be pregnant. April ran away from the Emmerdale village after finding out she was pregnant. She feared that she would ruin everything for her family after she found out she was expecting a baby. In a harrowing twist, April decided to leave and give her family some space, hoping to stay with some friends. However, that didn't quite happen and she ended up sleeping rough and meeting other young people who had experienced the same fate.

April revealed she ran away as she was pregnant and didn't want to burden her family, but in tragic scenes, she lost the baby and had a stillbirth in the toilets of a gym after managing to sneak in when someone was leaving. Heartbreakingly, she was alone when this happened, with fans devastated over the tragic scenes. One viewer wrote: "April's time on the streets was really heartbreaking to watch. Omg and those reveals were absolutely shocking, makes me wonder when that happened exactly. I think Amelia Flanagan did a fantastic job," as another added: "I've just watched tonight's #Emmerdale! WOW! What a powerful episode. Didn't expect that twist in the middle. Poor April. Amelia Flanagan take a bow.".

April was very far gone in her pregnancy before she experienced the devastating still birth, as fans try to puzzle out who the father of her baby might have been. Some have suggested she could have been groomed by an older man online, whilst others are convinced she might have got a pregnant from someone she met whilst at a party. However, others have suggested that April - who was very friendly with Samson and his friend Josh at one point - could have got pregnant with one of them. Samson and his friend were last seen on screen back in August 2024 when Samson was sentenced to prison for attacking Josh, who had bullied him into lying about what really happened when Matty was stabbed.

Speaking about the big scenes, Mark Charnock - who plays Marlon - said: "It's incredible and she's incredible in it and it fills in all the gaps the audience have had so far. I'm really proud of the show for doing it. "I think it's a wonderful piece of drama that's going to be really significant going forward. You see the alternate life that she's been living that will come to be a major problem for Marlon going forward because he can't comprehend it.".
