Emmerdale fans have been left puzzled over who April is pregnant by after a sad twist on the soap last night. April Windsor was revealed to be pregnant during last night's episode, and that was why she decided to run away from the village. However, heartbreakingly, April was revealed to have had a stillbirth in tragic scenes last night. Her pregnancy was a complete surprise for viewers, with no one aware she was expecting until last night's episode, which revealed all about what happened to April in the past few weeks.

We know she was pregnant when she ran away and her baby bump continued to grow as she struggled on the streets. She met some other teens that had gone missing and they soon realised she was pregnant, noticing her throwing up and using the bathroom all throughout the night. They vowed to support her through it all - but one was arrested and one tragically got stabbed. In sad scenes, April struggled with pain as she walked through the street but no one helped her. She managed to sneak into a gym toilets but tragically, she had a stillbirth in the bathroom.

There has been much speculation about who the father is, with some thinking it could be Ruby's father Anthony, whilst others are convinced it is Samson Dingle or his friend Josh. Some believe it was a one night stand. One viewer wrote on Reddit: "Who was the Dad? This can't have all happened because of the kidnap and everything from that then. This has been brewing for a while poor kid," whilst another added: "I'm assuming the friend she was trying to stay with was off the internet and they or another internet friend is the dad.".

"She'd talked about a boyfriend for the last few months without giving any details away," a third penned, with a fourth adding: "How did April get pregnant in #emmerdale." A fifth shared: "Who the hell knocked up April, she's barely with any male characters, she always with Kathy or her parents. #emmerdale.". Teasing what's next, Mark Charnock - who plays Marlon Dingle - said: "They're all treading on egg shells - it's not just Marlon - and I was saying before, it's like they've been searching this human haystack and now they've got the needle back, it's just a different being, with different reference points and a different attitude.".
