Janette Manrara received the support of her husband Aljaz Skorjanec as she was seen for the first time since Wynne Evans' sexual comments emerged. The professional dancer and Strictly It Takes Two host was seen having lunch with her husband and their daughter Lyra. They are currently taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour as they travel across the UK. Janette shared a sweet photo from their lunch together just hours after Evans' remarks emerged.
The GoCompare advert star appeared at the launch of the tour in Birmingham that included a photocall with all the Strictly cast. Evans stood alongside fellow celebrities JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri, Montell Douglas, Shayne Ward and Jamie Borthwick. They were also joined by the Strictly professional dancers and huddled together for a photo.
Evans was recorded making an inappropriate sexual comment to Janette when she walked over to the group. He sang out: "Go Compare," before adding: "Not too close to Jamie." He then used the hugely demeaning term "spit roast" in reference to a lewd sexual act. In a statement, Evans told the Mirror: "My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise.".
Just hours after his comment emerged, Janette posted sweet photos to her Instagram of Aljaz holding their two-year-old daughter Lyra. She giggled away in her dad's arms before being joined by dancers Amy Dowden and Nancy Xu. Amy also took a selfie with Lyra and quipped: "She's saying who's this mad Welsh woman." Janette was seen as she stepped out of the host in a black and white jumper and bobble hat in photos shared by the Daily Mail.
