Just one percent of people can solve this 'really easy 1% Club question

Two contestants won a whopping £98,000 for getting the question right - but viewers say it was too 'easy'. ITV's The 1% Club has Brits screaming at their screens every week, as self-proclaimed smarty pants do the best to survive each round in hopes of winning up to £100,000.
Hosted by comedian Lee Mack, The 1% Club isn't like your typical quiz show. You'll not be tested on your historical figures, geography, or general trivia you've rehearsed for your local pub quiz. Instead, contestants have to apply their 'logic, common sense, and reasoning skills' to cryptic questions most of us cannot answer.
This particular riddle was only solved by two contestants in the final, and sparked debate all over social media. So, do you think you're clever enough to solve it?. Which three digit number comes next in this sequence," the riddle reads. "1, 8, 11, 69, 88, 96, 101." Remember, you've only got 30 seconds to lock in your answer otherwise you'd be kicked out of the competition. Think you've cracked it? After the question was posted on TikTok, swathes of viewers rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts - with many arguing it was actually a 'really easy' task. "I got it in two seconds," one person boasted. Another agreed, commenting: "That's so easy for the 1% question," while a third added: "Whoop whoop! I actually got this one." However, others were left utterly baffled by the riddle - and said they still didn't understand it when shown the answer. "How do people do this?" one perplexed viewer asked, while another moaned: "I still don't get it.".
