Only 1 percent of people can solve 'impossible' 1% Club question

This brainteaser seems like it should be simple on the surface - however, when you dig a little deeper, it is anything but. The seriously challenging question was featured on the hit TV game show The 1% Club, hosted by comedian Lee Mack. Contestants on the show have the opportunity to win a whopping £100k - but only if they can answer a question as hard as this one, which is designed to trip up 99 percent of us.
This one is definitely not easy, even though it might appear deceptively simple at first glance. The clip - posted to TikTok - saw a contestant confidently answer, only to fall short of the correct solution. With this one, you are challenged to answer "On a digital 24-hour clock that displays hours, minutes, and seconds, how many times in each 24-hour period do all the digits change simultaneously?".
If you want to seriously challenge yourself and up the ante, set a timer of your choosing to come up with the answer for this - and let us know in the comments how long it took you to come up with a solution. It's always a good idea to challenge yourself mentally - even if some brainteasers seem a little bit too daunting and challenging. Attempting this kind of problem comes with a whole host of benefits, including improving your logical reasoning, attention span, memory, and critical reasoning abilities.
Not only that, but research has shown that the 'Aha' moment that comes with solving a puzzle, riddle, or brainteaser can improve your mood and perhaps even your overall motivation: as you get a hit of dopamine and your reward centre is activated. Every time you manage to solve something like this - no matter how long it takes you - it can reinforce the idea that challenging yourself in new ways and broadening your mind is a positive thing, which makes you continue doing it more regularly.
