Kanye West was "desperate" to be seen posing with Taylor Swift at the Grammy Awards. The music mega stars have been in a long running feud ever since he interrupted her speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards in New York. Initially, he apologised for his outburst but later retracted his statement. During Taylor's acceptance speech after she won Best Female Video, he burst onto the stage and said: "Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'ma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time.".
Taylor was initially "excited" that West was on stage with her but that soon changed when he issued his comments. Although they appeared to patch things up at the Grammy Awards in 2015, their feud was soon re-ignited when West debuted his song Famous, which included the lyrics: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that b***h famous.". However, sources claim that West, who is now known as Ye, was keen to be seen alongside billionaire Swift at the Crypto.com Arena in Downtown Los Angeles for the recent awards do. However, his request was not fulfilled as nobody was willing to help the controversial musician.
It's claimed that his plan was to be seen alongside Taylor on the red carpet, with his team "trying to hang out" with the You Belong With Me songstress. "No one wanted to help," a source told The Sun. They went on to add: "They didn't want to create a potentially weird situation.". The source went on to claim that Kanye's team had been "quizzing" people about what entrance Taylor would be using and asked how she would be getting to her seat. "He wanted to try and bump into her and chat in front of the cameras," they added. The plan to be seen alongside Taylor came after Kanye and his wife Bianca left onlookers stunned by a bold stunt on the red carpet.
The musician was seen whispering into Bianca's ears while they posed for the photographers – leading to her ditching her fur coat. Upon doing so, Bianca, 30, revealed that she was wearing a sheer dress – while also going completely nude. The Australian model dropped her long coat as she flashed her bare bum before turning around to give photographers a glimpse of her naked body. Page Six noted that the daring outfir was "was an attempt to replicate" the album cover of Kanye's 2024 album, Vultures. On the cover, Bianca is seen standing backwards wearing nothing but thigh-high boots and a tiny bit of fabric covering her behind.
It comes as there were fears that Kanye and Bianca had put themselves at risk of jail time for the show-stopping moment at the Los Angeles ceremony. According to California Penal Code 314(1), indecent exposure is defined as a person "exposing his or her naked body or genitals in front of anyone who could be annoyed or offended by it.". It also stipulates that the act must be "willful and lewd" to be considered a crime. To be found guilty, a person must "intentionally expose your genitals or naked body; expose yourself in front of someone who might be offended or annoyed by it; intend to direct attention to yourself; and intend to sexually gratify yourself or offend someone else when you do it.".
