Kate Ferdinand has marked eight years since she met her husband Rio as she shared a heartwarming throwback snap of the couple together. The former TOWIE star, 33, and the ex-footballer, 46, met back in 2016 through mutual friends while they were both on holiday in Dubai.

The couple are now back in the UAE to ring in 2025 with Kate sharing a cosy snap of the pair enjoying a night out. Alongside the post, she wrote: 'Rio & I met 8 years ago yesterday. 'Who would have thought that fast forward to now we would be back in the place we met, married, with 2 more beautiful children, 5 in total.

The former TOWIE star, 33, and the ex-footballer, 46, met back in 2016 through mutual friends while they were both on holiday in Dubai. Kate and and her husband Rio, who married in 2019, are parents to Cree who born in December 2020 and daughter Shae, who was born last year via C-section.

She is also step-mother to his three children Lorenz, 18, Tate, 15, and Tia, 13, from his previous marriage to Rebecca Ellison who passed away in 2015. In November, three-year-old Cree was rushed to hospital with a horror injury during a family trip to the Maldives.
