Summary at a Glance

Kellogg's iconic Corn Flakes cockerel turned into a towering 21ft weathervane The iconic Kellogg's cockerel has been transformed into the UK's largest-ever fully-functioning weathervane, standing at a whopping 21ft tall.

The weathervane, which is 11ft wide, is located at Ness Point in Lowestoft, Suffolk the UK's most easterly point where the sun rises first.

Expert sculptors and engineers spent two months meticulously crafting the record-breaking cockerel from steel and hand-painting it to capture Cornelius's personality.

The temporary installation, which will be up until Thursday, was created to celebrate Cornelius' first ever makeover, as he appears in a new TV advertising campaign.

It comes after a poll of 2,000 adults found that they spend nine minutes a day talking about the weather totalling 146 days over an average lifetime.
