Kids make horror discovery at popular UK beach as body of mystery man with gold tooth found

Mystery surrounds the body of a man “with a gold tooth” who was found by children at a popular UK seaside resort. An appeal has been launched by police after the body was discovered at Eastney East Battery on Southsea Esplanade near Portsmouth at around 6.30pm on Boxing Day. Attempts are being made to identify the man who Hampshire Police said had a gold tooth and was also carrying an “older style video camera” as well as an inhaler.
But currently the force is not treating the death as suspicious. A description of the man describes him as white and of an unknown age. A police statement read: “He was wearing blue Levi jeans, a pink woollen scarf, a blue zip Regatta fleece with a Balfour Beatty South East Territory logo, a white and blue striped shirt with a British Rail double arrow logo on the pocket and black Adidas trainers.”.
It is understood that no progress has been made in identifying the man since the initial appeal was given out. A police spokesperson said at the time: “Officers are appealing for information to help identify a man whose body was found in Portsmouth on Boxing Day.
"Police were called at 6.30pm on Thursday, 26 December, to a report of the body of a man being found at Eastney East Battery, Southsea Esplanade. Officers attended to examine the scene and to allow for the body to be recovered. "The death is not being treated as suspicious and enquiries are underway to identify the man. As part of these enquiries we are appealing to the community who may be able to help us identify the man.”.
