Labyrinth sequel slammed by fans who are raging at Robert Eggers' follow-up to the David Bowie cult classic Labyrinth fans are raging after it was officially announced that the David Bowie cult classic is getting a sequel nearly four decades after its release.
It was confirmed on Thursday that Nosferatu director Robert Eggers has closed a deal to write and direct a new movie, said to be a follow up to the original 1986 film.
Echoing a similar sentiment, another raged: 'As much as I like eggers, LABYRINTH DOES NOT NEED A SEQUEL LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!!!!
Others were less harsh and reasoned that if a Labyrinth sequel has to be made, Eggers is the right person for the job.
The original film was released in 1986 and starred Bowie and a young Jennifer Connelly.
