Manor Solomon is seeking redemption in Leeds’ huge clash with promotion rivals Burnley. The red-hot winger scored after just 31 seconds of Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Norwich. That came having also netted within three minutes of last Sunday’s 3-0 derby success against Sheffield Wednesday.

Daniel Farke’s flying leaders have now racked up 12 home Championship wins with their only defeat, ironically, coming against Burnley in September. Solomon’s error in that contest led to Luca Koleosho racing 70m and scoring the only goal of the game.

Ahead of Monday's humdinger at Turf Moor, the on-loan Tottenham wideman admitted: “I remember that game especially because I slipped and it cost us a goal. But I think we were the better team when Burnley played here. We lost but we were the better side.

“We controlled the game, created many chances which we didn’t take advantage of, but if we deliver the same performance as a few months ago, I think we will win [on Monday].” After second-placed Sheffield United's shock 3-0 home defeat to Hull on Friday, Leeds could now open up a four-point gap at the top.

The two Yorkshire rivals have been going toe-to-toe all season. But third-placed Burnley won’t go away either and are in amazing form. Wednesday’s 5-0 romp at Plymouth saw Scott Parker's side stretch their unbeaten run in the league to 15 games. Remarkably, they have kept a dozen clean sheets along the way and another win would see them draw level with Leeds. But United are full of confidence as is Israel international Solomon. The 25 year-old has enjoyed seven goal contributions in as many Championship games and admitted: “Yes, I’m in a good period.
