Netflix has created a phenomenon with their Love Is Blind series, but love may not be blind for one couple, who recently announced their split. Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis, who tied the knot during Season seven of the hit show, have called a quits just over a year after they tied the knot, PEOPLE reports. Announcing her divorce with a statement to the publication, Ashley said: "After much reflection, I want to share that Tyler and I have been separated for several weeks and have now made the difficult decision to end our marriage.
"While I had hoped for mutual understanding and transparency in our relationship, it has become clear that our paths are no longer aligned, making it impossible for me to continue in this marriage." The star then continued to say the breakup was not one she took lightly "but one I know is necessary for my own growth and peace".
"While this chapter is ending, I will always hold respect for the time and love we shared. I kindly ask for privacy during this deeply personal time as I focus on healing and building a new future," she said before thanking those for their understanding and support.
It hasn’t been long since fans saw the couple’s love story unfold, with the seventh season of the show airing in October 2024. However, their journey didn’t come without troubles, as Tyler dropped the bombshell he had three biological children as a sperm donor. Although the pair moved past the bump in the road, more issues began to resurface.
Tyler had at first told his partner he had no relationship with his biological children, although ‘photos of him with his children’ then began to circulate the internet. The star didn’t hide away from the bombshell at the reunion, announcing he helped a friend to start a family, and then stepped in when her wife left him. However, he assured viewers his wife knew everything, saying it was ‘news to the world’ but not to them.
