Love Island's Curtis makes major Ekin Su decision after ex slams 'fame hungry' star

Drama erupts in the Love Island: All Stars villa tonight as Curtis Pritchard decides between Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and new bombshell Danielle Sellers. Danielle made her grand entrance on Day 16 and wasted no time stirring things up, choosing to couple up with Curtis. Despite being “closed off” with Ekin-Su, Curtis accepted the switch, sending shockwaves through the villa. Ekin-Su confronted Curtis and later threw a drink at him. Producers reportedly issued her a warning about her behaviour.
In tonight’s nail-biting recoupling, fans will see Curtis make his decision. A teaser shows him taking a deep breath before the show cuts off as he reveals his choice. In the Friday night's episode, Ekin-Su called Curtis a liar after learning he was open to getting to know Danielle, despite claiming to be closed off with her. Ekin-Su said to Curtis: "So why lie to me then, Curtis? And reassure me, say all these things ... literally four hours ago, during the day. Why?" Curtis replied: "I don't know. I can't answer you. I felt confused." Ekin-Su added: "I actually thought you were better than that. It doesn't suit you.".
Curtis later said to Ekin-Su: "I feel like I've not been a thousand percent honest with you ... I didn't expect someone to come in and confuse the situation, in hindsight it makes me think I should have never ever said we were closed off…". Ekin-Su told Curtis - who previously hinted to Danielle that he shouldn't have said he was 'closed off' - in the villa: "I feel like everything you said was a lie." Viewers have been divided over the situation, with some fans supporting Ekin-Su, whilst others have defended Curtis.
That’s not all the heat Curtis faced - his ex, whom he broke up with before entering the villa, has claimed he treated her like a doormat. Curtis was dating performer Sophie Sheridan, who claims they were discussing marriage before he dropped her to go on the ITV show due to an “obsession with fame.”. Sophie and Curtis reportedly met at a panto of Cinderella in Wolverhampton in 2021, and started dating the following year. While Sophie said they’d been together for nearly three years before the split, Curtis told Maya Jama and the other islanders his last romance ended “about four months ago for me. It was kind of new but I just knew it wasn't right and if you know that then it sort of, I had to just end it.”.
Curtis went on Love Island Games in 2023, and Sophie claimed that Curtis “pressured” her to pretend that they were broken up so that he could make money on the show for their future together. She added to The Sun that she had "psychological trauma” after he finished his time on the show. The performer said that even beyond his TV stint as a single man, he wanted her to keep their relationship “under wraps” and stopped her from flaunting their relationship on social media or in the public eye.
Sophie described how after a trip away he had “convenient timing” to dump her with the offer of a place on All Stars and that they’ve had no contact since the sudden split in October - and that she was only speaking out now because of how “disrespectful” he was to her. “We’d spoken about the future, about getting married and having kids, but then suddenly it was over,” she said, adding that considering how cut up she was about Curtis being on Love Island Games, he knew it was either her or All Stars this time around.
“He knew I wouldn’t fake another break-up. I need to stand up for myself and actually tell the truth because I’ve just been a doormat for nearly three years,” she shared. Like this story?
