Luke Littler will have received many congratulatory messages from his celebrity contacts after booking a place in the World Darts Championship final on Thursday. The 17-year-old swept aside Stephen Bunting in the semi-final, defeating him 6-1 with an average of 105.48 points scored and 13 180s. Littler is into his second Worlds final in as many years and now has the chance to avenge his second-place finish against Luke Humphries last year.

The darts sensation will take on Michael van Gerwen in the final on Friday night, and the teenager is relishing the challenge. He told Sky Sports: "If we both turn up like we did tonight, it will be really good. "As soon as Luke Humphries went out, that's what everyone was looking at, but I had to focus on the quarter-finals and semi-finals. Now I've done that, I can focus on Michael tomorrow. We all know he's hunting for a fourth world title. I'm hunting for my first. Same as last night, go home, chill out and come back tomorrow.".

As the 17-year-old prepares to make history, we take a look at some of the celebrities he's rubbed shoulders with on his route to the top and those who will be wishing him the best against Van Gerwen. Manchester United icon David Beckham texted Littler good luck before the previous World Darts Championship final in January 2024. The darts star is a boyhood Red Devils fan and has previously spoken about his love for the club.
