Married at First Sight UK star Charlie Curtis has claimed she's been left off the invite list for the reunion episode, putting it down to her being just too "boring". The 30-year-old, who was paired with Eve Reid in series nine of the popular TV series, had a rough time and departed the show after the second commitment ceremony.
Fans of the programme had previously demanded that her on-screen wife, Eve, be dropped from the show for allegedly causing Charlie "extreme distress". During filming, Charlie had a falling out with the other brides, who were unaware of the audience's perception of the drama.
Despite her involvement in the show on Channel 4, Charlie told the Daily Mail that she was overlooked for the anticipated reunion special, claiming: "I wasn't invited. It really upset me, I was so upset when they told me I wasn't going though.". Post-show, Charlie shared that she has formed bonds with her fellow brides away from the cameras, clashing with them on-screen but now keen to reconnect.
Feeling snubbed, she voiced her disillusionment, saying: "I felt so disheartened, I want my last... to go back with the girls when I'm friends with them now, no one saw any of us being friends on screen.". Reflecting on her exclusion, Charlie claimed: "So obviously we had a group chat, everyone was talking about the reunion and was like my invite must have got lost, it's in the post because I'm not coming.".
