BrewDog is giving away free pints this month - but you need a special code to claim your freebie. The brewery and pub chain is giving two free BrewDog drinks to customers who are signed up to its email subscriptions. If you're eligible for the promotion, you should have received an email from BrewDog this week with a QR code that entitles you to either £15 credit to spend on the BrewDog website or two free beers.
The limited offer is running in most BrewDog bars until January 22 - you won’t be able to redeem it in any other pubs. The only BrewDog locations not taking part in the deal are Hull, Upminster, Edinburgh Waverley, Edinburgh Airport, Gatwick Airport, Belfast Grand Central.
The free drink will be the cheapest of the round and applies to all measurements, not just a full pint. In an advert published by BrewDog, the pub chain wrote: "January got you down? We've got just the thing. Swing by any BrewDog bar in the next seven days and grab two free beers on us.".
It comes after BrewDog boss James Watt announced last May that he was stepping down from the top job 17 years after he co-founded the brewer and pub group. Mr Watt remains as a non-executive director on the board, but handed over the reins to chief operating officer James Arrow.
In a Linkedin post, Mr Watt said at the time: “After 17 fantastic years as chief executive, I have decided to transition into a new role in the business, one of ‘captain and co-Founder’ – and James Arrow will pick up the reins as chief executive as our business pushes forward into our next phase of growth. In my new role I will remain as a board member, a director and I will also be part time strategic adviser to the business and our to leadership team.”.
