The wrapping of the package initially caused some confusion, but Father Schrader explained that he and his brother had chosen a Crayola-themed tin for their time capsule.
Despite considering throwing it out or opening it prematurely, Father Schrader waited until the last day of 2024 to peel back the cellotape and reveal the contents.
Father Dylan Schrader, a pastor, shared images of the silver package on Twitter/X before cracking it open in a thread on the social media platform.
Inside were a range of intriguing items including an AIDS flyer, an alcohol and drugs pamphlet, a half-completed personal information book, floppy discs, polaroid photos of his childhood home and a cassette.
