Former Dutch defender Stam said he would love to return to Old Trafford - although he joked that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and company are yet to get in touch.
Stam was part of United’s Treble winning side in 1999 and won three Premier League titles in succession before being controversially sold by Sir Alex Ferguson because of comments made in a book.
Stam believes United should already be looking towards next season - but for that campaign to be successful they still need to improve performances and results.
