Man Utd players 'have private concerns over Ruben Amorim' as boss stands his ground Some Manchester United players are said to have discussed whether or not Ruben Amorim would be best served by tweaking his tactical approach.

"I thought it would get better when Ruben Amorim came in, the enthusiasm of him and the new system, the players would buy into and we'd see a bounce, but we've seen the absolute opposite and it's got a lot worse," the former United defender said on The Gary Neville Podcast after the recent 2-0 loss against Crystal Palace.

While there is no suggestion that there is any significant dressing room discontent, a new report from The Mail claims that some players have spoken about 'whether a change of plan' that would be better suited to their style would benefit the team moving forward.

The report comes just one week after Gary Neville questioned whether Amorim was getting his ideas across to United's beleaguered squad in the wake of recent displays.

They are still in the FA Cup - where they will face Fulham in the fifth round - and the Europa League, but scrutiny is likely to grow over the coming weeks if United are unable to lift themselves away from the bottom half of the Premier League table.
