Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has rejected an offer from Galatasaray, according to reports. Rashford has already given a clear indication that he is intent on leaving United by revealing last month that he wants a ‘new challenge’. ‘When I leave it’s going to be, “no hard feelings”. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person,’ Rashford told Henry Winter.

‘If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. ‘When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.’. The 27-year-old has not featured in United’s last six games, although he was on the bench for the defeat to Newcastle United before he missed the 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Sunday due to illness.

Rashford’s options to leave United are limited as very few clubs are able to afford his £325,000-a-week salary. Fabrizio Romano reports that Galatasaray have already made an offer to sign Rashford on loan for the remainder of the season. However, the United forward has turned down a move to Turkey as he is holding out for a club in one of Europe’s top-five leagues.

Galatasaray currently sit eight points clear of Fenerbahce at the top of the Turkish Super Lig and are level on 12 points with United in the Europa League table. Reports elsewhere have claimed that Borussia Dortmund are also in the race to sign Rashford but the Bundesliga club face competition from AC Milan and Juventus.
