MARVEL Rivals Season 1 is here, adding Fantastic Four characters to the hero shooter’s roster and a new Battle Pass. Ahead of the game’s first-ever season, update version 20250110 is bringing buffs and nerfs to all characters, along with some bug fixes and the new seasonal content.
The balance adjustments in the new patch are based on an analysis of battle data from the first month since the free-to-play game’s launch. As stated in the balance post for the new update, the tweaks are aimed at “enabling a broader roster to partake in more intricate gameplay”.
Here are all Marvel Rivals balance changes in Update 20250110’s patch notes and the new content coming with Season 1. Instead of nerfing the strongest characters in the current meta too much, the new update focuses more on buffing other characters to make them more viable picks, too.
Most Duelists are receiving buffs, while Hela, Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, and Black Panther are getting some of their stats nerfed. Among the Vanguards, Captain America, Thor and Venom are getting buffed, while Doctor Strange and Hulk are receiving nerf to their shields.
Virtually all Strategists are getting increased healing capabilities, except for Luna Snow, who is seeing her ultimate nerfed a bit. You can find all balance adjustments to each hero in the detailed v20250110 balance patch notes, on the Marvel Rivals website.
