*Warning - this article contains mild spoilers for Severance Season two episode one and two*. One of the most exceptional shows ever produced has finally made a triumphant return with its second season, leaving me utterly astounded within the first 55 seconds.

Severance, once a hidden gem on Apple TV+, premiered in 2022 and has since topped my list of recommendations for anyone seeking a fresh binge-worthy series. This task has become more straightforward now that the streaming platform's library is accessible via the Amazon Prime Video app. It's crucial for viewers to catch up quickly as the second season has swiftly established itself as the best show currently on television.

For those unfamiliar, Severance is a sci-fi thriller centred around a small team working for a company named Lumon. The unique twist? All employees have voluntarily undergone a procedure that segregates their professional and personal memories. At work, they have no memory of their lives outside the office, and vice versa. However, in the first season, these 'innies', as they call themselves, begin to question their treatment and seek to uncover the secrets of the outside world, reports the Mirror US.

I was instantly captivated by just the concept, and it wasn't long before I found myself ensnared by what is undoubtedly one of the finest inaugural seasons of television ever produced. It swiftly garnered critical acclaim, with it drawing a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and evoking comments from viewers like: "Incredible writing and acting, one of the best TV shows ever made.".
