Max George reveals amazing news with Maisie Smith after emergency heart surgery

Max George told fans it was "so good to be home" for Christmas after undergoing emergency heart surgery. The Wanted star, 36, was rushed into hospital after feeling unwell earlier this month following cardiac concerns before being fitted with a pacemaker to regulate his heart rate.
It was thought that Max would have to stay in hospital over the festive period, but on Christmas Eve he revealed he was coming home to spend the special day with girlfriend, Maisie Smith, 23, and their families. Taking to Instagram sharing a snap of himself cuddling up to the EastEnders star, who was wearing a red cracker hat, he wrote: "It’s so good to be home" accompanied by a love heart. Max also shared a photo of a tastefully decorated table, adorned with festive place settings, crackers and candles.
Speaking from his hospital bed on Christmas Eve, the singer previously said he was "battered and bruised". However, he then revealed that he would be leaving hospital and returning home. Sharing the happy update with fans from the comfort of his own home on Instagram, he wrote: "Merry Christmas, everyone. I just wanted to say that I'm back home waiting for my beautiful girlfriend to arrive at some point. Best present ever.".
Earlier this week, he shared the news of his hospital discharge with fans in a video message through his Instagram Story. The clip showed Max - who rose to fame as a member of the Wanted - lying in a hospital bed as he gave an update on the situation.
He shared: "It's time to go home. The numbers are way, way better. Feel knackered. Slept a lot today. Few more tests to do over the next couple of weeks - something to do with my lungs, but ... that's the least of my worries right now. So yep, all good. A bit battered and bruised and knackered but ...".
