‘My grandkids love it’ – Phil Taylor lands new job after retiring from darts and rejecting Sky Sports offer

DARTS legend Phil Taylor has landed himself a brand new gig after rejecting a proposal from Sky Sports. The 16-time darts world champion announced his full retirement from the sport in 2024 - four years after leaving the PDC. Taylor had been plying his trade on the World Seniors Tour before undergoing hip surgery.

And he's landed himself a punditry gig with the Modus Super Series, a tournament which features over 100 matches over a 50-week period. He told The Daily Mirror: “I’m involved with Pluto TV, who are streaming all the stuff for MODUS. "It’s a free live stream, and they play some of the old stuff too. My grandkids love it.".

The 64-year-old will be giving his takes at the League of Legends Finals Night on Saturday. He said: “I’ll be there, you’re not getting rid of me that easily. “I’ll be doing some punditry, hosting the show and commentating on a few games, whatever they ask me to do really.”.
