PS Plus has delivered on another month of free games for players on the Essential subscription tier to get stuck into, featuring Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe. The new year has only just begun, and it seems that PlayStation is wasting no time at all in delivering games for players to get stuck into. There are many AAA games to look forward to, but for many, it will simply come down to what is offered to them for free, something that PS Plus is pretty good at. The PS Plus Essential December 2024 drop was pretty massive, delivering It Takes Two and a heap of PS Plus surprise bonuses like a Space Marine 2 game trial for PS Plus Premium subscribers.

The PS Plus Extra and Premium December drop was pretty impressive, too, delivering AAA titles like Sonic Frontiers and Forspoken, making sure that the backlog of subscribers continues to stretch into the horizon. There’s more to come, though, as PS Plus Essential January 2025 promises to add three more games for players to add to their libraries, free to play forever providing they remain subscribed to the service. Hopes are high that the company can keep up their strong streak that has been rolling for months now, and while our PS Plus Essential January 2025 predictions imagined the arrival of Jusant as the month’s headliner, Sony delivered a different collection of titles for players to get stuck into – but that doesn’t mean that they’re any worse.
