“We are aware that on December 24, 2024, a systems error resulted in users being unable to redeem voucher codes on the PlayStation Store, and we have identified your account as one impacted by this error,” reads the email, which was originally spotted by PlayStation LifeStyle.
Sony has started adding $10 (£7.90) in free store credit to the accounts of users who were affected by another recent glitch in the PlayStation Store.
While players await their free PlayStation Plus compensation for the recent PlayStation Network outage, it appears that some PS4 and PS5 owners are getting an extra reimbursement on top.
The issue, which occurred in late December, prevented players from redeeming PS Store vouchers or gift cards.
Needless to say, that would have been frustrating for players, many of whom likely received the vouchers as Christmas gifts and were probably eager to download a game to play over the holidays.
