Kirstie Allsopp said 'I do' in an intimate ceremony with her closest friends and family, yet Location, Location, Location co-star Phil Spencer was missing. The TV duo have worked together since the launch of their Channel 4 property show in 2000 and have fronted a series of spin-off shows since. Away from the cameras, the pair have become lifelong friends yet Phil missed out on Kristie's secret wedding to Ben Andersen.

The presenter shocked fans last week when she announced she had tied the knot despite claiming for years she was "happily unmarried". Kirstie and Ben wed after 22 years together and had tried to keep their big day hidden until they were seen at their Mayfair venue.

They said their vows in a Love Actually inspired do, and Kirstie took matters into her own hands and released some of their own images of the couples' unexpected big day. However, Phil was noticeably missing from the wedding as Kirstie has finally explained why.

"On Thursday, Ben and I were married at The Grosvenor Chapel, where my parents and grandparents were married, and where we celebrated my father's life in June," she told Mail on Sunday. "We already had a big party planned to mark Ben's birthday, so most of our guests thought that's what they were coming to celebrate, and we did just that, with lots of food, drink, and dancing and all my nephews and nieces running around, having a ball.".

Kirstie added: "The flowers, the catering, the order of service and the lighting were all done by people I have worked with over the years who kept it all secret and put together an amazing event at very short notice, though because of that short notice some beloved friends and family couldn't be there, including Phil.".
